Instant Hack: Boost Your Energy in 10 Seconds with Boiler Room Sets

I just recently stumbled across the Charli XCX Boiler Room sets for brat (the PARTYGIRL set and the PARTYGIRL Ibiza set). SO GOOD.
Then I went down the Boiler Room / YouTube dj set rabbit hole.
I particularly loved this Nasthug (Tokyo) set. Her vibe is unmatched and most similar to what I’d listen to on my own time. Lots of throwbacks and just good mixing.
Need a turbo boost of energy? You need the ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U set – it’s wild. (I also just love a good story like his: diagnosed with brain cancer, beats it, decides to quit his job in construction and go all in dj’ing, blows up to new heights. Go ¥ØU$UK€.)
The SOFF set from Rousing Chamber is another great one. Solid vibes. Perfect to work along to.
I used to listen to a lot more house, club and EDM in general but drifted away over the years. I forgot how good it was until I fell back into it. It’s powerful. It fosters community and connection. It can be transformative, transcendent.
It’s what FKA Twigs discovered in the clubs in Prague that inspired her latest album Eusexua (album of the year contender, as far as I’m concerned). In interviews she’s described it as a sort of spiritual experience that helped her heal in ways she never thought possible.
My point is, putting on a good dj set can work wonders for boosting your energy and mood. And there’s tons of great content online that I didn’t even know about until last week. Even if dj sets aren’t your thing, you can certainly find something that you’re into on YouTube.
