It’s called Bird Cam Daily and I post 3 daily videos of birds.
Come follow me! You’ll get a daily dose of nature and cuteness 🐥

I live in Southern California so my feeder mostly gets house sparrows and house finches, but we also get the occasional red-winged blackbird, spice finch, scrub jay, yellow-rumped warbler, and mourning dove.
We also get squirrels, mice, sometimes raccoons… The squirrels are particularly annoying because they eat so much of the bird food. My dog scares them away about 10% of the time. They’re not even afraid of the alarm sound I can trigger through the feeder anymore. 🙄
Sometimes I’ll even post other bird or animal videos that I’ve taken elsewhere: geese or peacocks on the street, a hummingbird in my garden, Victoria Crowned Pigeon at the Seattle zoo, sea lions in the ocean… any wildlife is worthy of my channel.
But back to my backyard feeder – it’s great. There’s a lot of activity there every day. Once I add some more feeding trays to my set up I’ll diversify my food offerings to try and attract a bigger variety of birds. Maybe I’ll even set up another feeder with a camera.
I use the OnlyFly feeder with built in camera. It’s really easy to set up and use. The camera is actually a Vico camera which I think it intended for home security but whatever, it works great for me. Eventually I’d like to get a better camera (maybe upgrade the whole feeder) but for now this is perfect for me.
My channel’s been up for a few years but I never really posted anything until I got this feeder. Posting daily videos was a really easy, low-stakes way for me to create and share content that I thought was decent and not a complete waste of people’s time. My daughter thinks it’s dumb but I think they’re cute and apparently so do 286 other strangers on the Internet, lol.
If anything, it’s been a great exercise in consistency. I tell myself I have to show up, no matter where I am or how I’m feeling. And because it’s so easy, I do! Even when I’ve traveled out of state or overseas, I still get my videos up. That’s given me a really great sense of pride and satisfaction. So even though I’ve been slacking on this blog, I’ve shown myself that yeah, I am capable of being disciplined, even if it’s just in this one small area. And that’s building up my belief in that I can keep showing up and putting in the work for whatever else I want to build. Like this blog.
Anyway, I’ll end by saying I actually have ANOTHER channel that I just started posting on more recently. The handle for that one is actually Sharing Sparks to match this site lol. Right now it’s just a bunch of concert footage. A TON of Beyoncé (I also wrote about the Cowboy Carter concert here), but also some Tinashe, Taylor Swift, BLACKPINK and Harry Styles. I’m going to see Ethel Cain next month and will add videos of her show too. So excited!
Eventually I’ll probably post more videos to help spark inspiration and motivation – just not sure what form that will take yet. For now I find live music shows incredibly inspiring so I’ll stick with that. Plus it gives my videos a life outside of my camera roll. ✨
So if there’s a project you’ve been wanting to do but keep putting it off, let this be your sign to go for it. Today. Now. Go do it! 🙌
