The Best 2025 Planners at Target

This weekend in the stationery section of Target, I found two 2025 planners that I think you’ll love too:

Tabitha Brown Undated Guided Planner for Target ($10.00)

Marie Kondo for Blue Sky 2025 Weekly/Monthly Planners ($11.99 for the 5″ x 8″ size, but other designs and sizes are also available)

Tabitha Brown Undated Guided Planner for Target

Tabitha Brown has a ton of branded items in Target, ranging from snacks to gift bags to stationery to home decor to clothes and more. This planner was in a Tabitha Brown endcap by the gift wrap area.

It looks like this. Super cute, colorful, and marked with the phrase “my life my business” on the front – great for the business girlies.

The planner has a detachable bookmark so you can mark the week and instantly open to “today” (no time is wasted finding your schedule!) This undated planner has monthly tabs, so you can label the tabs with the monthly stickers depending on what point in the year you pick it up. (Also a great idea for sales – undated planners can be sold year round, year over year – no dead stock sitting around after the new year rolls around!) There’s also a sturdy pocket right at the beginning of the planner for important materials that you need to save.

I LOVE that there’s a monthly goal setting spread at the start of each month. At top there’s a space for your monthly affirmation(s). Below are sections for things to accomplish in the areas of work, wellness, and happiness. At the bottom, there’s a section for things you’re excited about. I usually try to have a spread similar to this in my hand drawn planners but I really liked the Tabitha Brown version. It’s well thought out and to the point, allowing for focus and clarity, which sets you up for more productivity 😉

A clean and simple monthly spread, undated for you to fill out. A notes section to the right. Exactly what you need – nothing more, nothing less.

I don’t usually see weekly spreads like this! This instantly makes me want to fill it with a to-do list (or “action items” list, or “to manifest” list à la Manifestation Babe). Or you could also break things down by time throughout the day (check out this post on Grace Beverley’s productivity method for an approach to this). I love that the vertical columns are left blank for you to use however you decide. You could use the circles on top for a number of things – checking off a major habit that you’re working on each day, color coding for a mood mandala, moon phase, or whatever else makes sense for you. The customizability of this planner is one of my favorite features of the whole thing.

And of course, we need to reflect back on the month at the end of it, for which we have this neat little review section (what did I accomplish, what am I grateful for, self-care, and changes for the next month) and a general notes and reflections section.

I LOVE this Tabitha Brown planner. Excellent layout. 5 stars. At the time of writing this, it’s only $10.00 on Target.com (what a deal!) and has 44 five-star reviews.

I haven’t bought my 2025 planner yet but this is right at the top of my list of contenders.

Marie Kondo for Blue Sky 2025 Planner

But there is another contender that I spotted at Target – the Marie Kondo for Blue Sky 2025 planner, pictured here in the Breane design:

There are actually a number of Marie Kondo for Blue Sky planners and calendars available through Target.

The planner comes in a ton of cover patterns and two other sizes. I would always pick the 5″ x 8″ size because it fits well in most of my bags and is the right size for me to write in. Other sizes include 8″ x 10″ and 9″ x 11″ planners. Too bulky for me, but maybe right for someone with more items to put in their planner.

This is a dated planner for 2025 that is geared toward helping you organize your life (what you’d expect, as that’s what Marie Kondo’s brand is all about).

The first section has a little intro with Kondo’s philosophy on tidying, followed by a pocket folder page.

Next you’ll find the 6 basic principles of tidying up per Kondo’s Konmari Method. You’ll also see the tabs for each of the following twelve months.

The next few pages give you guidance on how to systematically tidy up the different areas of your home. Anyone who’s watched the Netflix show Tidying up with Marie Kondo will recognize this procedure.

On to the monthly calendar spread! It’s a good standard calendar, already labelled and marked with holidays because it’s a dated planner. You have a notes section to the left with a little snippet of guidance from Marie Kondo (for January, a note about the new year) and a journal prompt to lead you into that month. Or you might like to jot down your response to the prompt in that note space to see it every time you check this part of your planner.

The weekly spreads are also the ones I’m most used to seeing in standard planners: sections for each day blocked off from top to bottom, left page to right page. At the end of the week is a space for “gratitude highlights” with the prompt, “What sparked joy this week?”

I personally really like the cover options of the Marie Kondo planners. My favorites are the Natural Fabric cover ($16.99 for the 5″ x 8″ size), Breanne cover ($11.99 for the 5″ x 8″ size) and the Hana Navy cover ($11.99 for the 5″ x 8″ size).

However the few online ratings for these planners are not good. Reviews cite misprints, pages out of order, and upside down text. It’s hard to tell if those are individual cases or mass production errors, but this is in stark contrast to the many glowing reviews of the Tabitha Brown planners. But if you’re really committed to the Marie Kondo planners for the guided tidying advice and the prompts, you’ll probably still be able to get good use out of this planner.

It’s now December so I’ll definitely be getting a planner for the new year, but I’m still in the market for the right one.

Having seen these two at Target, I’m leaning toward the Tabitha Brown one but might change my mind if I find something else that’s a better fit for me.

Or I might just end up creating my own personalized planner by hand, which I’ve done in the past. If that’s the case, I’ll share my layout in another post!

If you see an amazing planner please share it with me! I’ll also be sharing other planners that I’ve come across in future posts so you can have more options to consider, too 🙂
