Good skin, good mood.

Using beautiful skin care products can drastically change how you feel, which then changes how you move through the day and through life. So don’t feel bad about taking your skin care seriously 😘

These are 7 amazing skin care products for dry winter skin (plus notable mentions). As far as I know they’re not especially trendy – i.e. I’m not seeing them on any beauty YouTubers’ channels – but they work great and have amazing Amazon reviews, which is basically all the social proof any of us needs, right?

This post is about 7 holy grail skin care products for dry winter skin:

What these are, why they’re great, and links to purchase below. (Note – prices and product ratings are accurate at the time of writing this 😘)

Rosewater Spray

Heritage Store Rosewater spray

Heritage Store Rosewater spray

A facial mist made with damask rose. Alcohol-free, dye-free, hypoallergenic, vegan, and cruelty free. I use this right after the shower or anytime I wash my face. Also works nicely as a setting spray for my makeup. I particularly like how they explain that they use “Vor-Mag” water that has been vortexed and magnetized to raise it to a higher vibration (questionable claim, kind of hilarious, but I also genuinely like that extra little detail).

I got this 8 oz bottle for $8.89 on Amazon. 4.7 stars with over 19k ratings.

Notable mention: Garnier SkinActive Rose Water Facial Mist Spray

Garnier SkinActive Rose Water Facial Mist Spray

The mist is a perfect light spray. Light, refreshing, and soothing. Available for $15.95 on Amazon (but I can also grab it from my local CVS). 4.6 stars with over 7k ratings.

Retinol Cream

LilyAna Naturals Retinol Cream

LilyAna Naturals Retinol Cream

A thick but not-too-thick retinol cream for your face, deck and décolletage. It includes great ingredients like aloe, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, green tea, shea butter and jojoba oil.

Since I started using this over the winter, my dry skin has stopped having so many dry patches and I feel like my moisturizer is sinking in better (does it even work like that?) It comes in a straightforward plastic bottle that dispenses with a wide pump. I used to only apply retinol at night because I didn’t want increased sensitivity to sunlight during the day, but it moisturized my dry skin so well that I ended up using it in my morning skincare too. I just make sure to go hard with my sunscreen.

I got this bottle for $22.04 on Amazon. 4.4 stars with over 40k ratings.

Notable mention: Olay Retinol 24 Max Moisturizer

Olay Eye Cream Total Effects 7-in-one Anti-Aging Transforming Eye Cream

Applies smoothly and sinks into skin beautifully. Comes in a nice tub so you can use up every last drop. Available for $26.97 on Amazon. 4.6 stars with over 9k ratings.

Eye Cream

L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Eye Defense Eye Cream with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid

L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Eye Defense Eye Cream with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid

A lightweight and moisturizing eye cream with a hint of brightening mica. Contains caffeine and hyaluronic acid to help with under-eye circles, puffiness, and wrinkles. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t, but it feels great and seems to do the job of keeping the skin around the eyes really nicely moisturized without getting too greasy or heavy. A perfectly reliable eye cream.

I got this 0.5 oz jar for $11.66 on Amazon. 4.3 stars with over 20k ratings.

Notable mention: Olay Eye Cream Total Effects 7-in-one Anti-Aging Transforming Eye Cream

Olay Eye Cream Total Effects 7-in-one Anti-Aging Transforming Eye Cream

To be honest I don’t think I had any complaints about this one. I just decided to try another (cheaper) product one day and stuck with that one. But performance-wise, I think this is just as good. Available for $23.30 on Amazon. 4.5 stars with over 6k ratings.

Face Oil

Flora Mirabilis Holy Grail Face Oil

Flora Mirabilis Holy Grail Face Oil

Ok ok, Instagram ads got me with this one. It’s pricey but honestly so good. Flora Mirabilis’ Holy Grail Face Oil claims to work as a 4-in-1 serum, moisturizer, eye cream and retinol replacement. I still layer it with other products but I will say it’s become a serum to me. I notice my skin is more even-toned, smooth, and bright when I use it.

It includes luxurious natural ingredients: Sacha Inchi oil, apricot kernel oil, pomegranate seed oil, vanilla, saffron, sandalwood oil, frankincense oil, lavender oil, rose oil, and oud. You couldn’t make a better scent for someone like me, but this won’t be for everyone.

Flora Mirabilis’ face oil was developed by an aesthetician who used it on herself and private clients, then realized she was onto something and turned it into a product for sale. The packaging is probably the majority of the cost but I actually love the printed glass bottle and wooden ball stopper.

Luxurious as it is, it’s still an expensive decision – so I love that you can buy a $20 sample that comes with a $20 credit toward a full sized bottle. You can also buy refills for the original full-sized glass bottle which means you can save some money when repurchasing. You can even sign up for a refill subscription to get a deeper discount.

The Flora Mirabilis Holy Grail Face Oil is $120 on their website. 5 stars with 264 reviews.

Notable mention: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Face Serum

I got a little sampler of this once and absolutely loved it, but for some reason it never made it into my full rotation. It went on smoothly and sank into my skin wonderfully, and contains anti-aging ingredients hyaluronic acid and peptides that make this extra hydrating. Available for $19.00 on Amazon. 4.5 stars with over 3k ratings.

Moisturizer

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream

Check out the ingredients list for this cream: olive oil, beeswax, honey, royal jelly, and propolis cera. All good, natural stuff. It comes out of the jar like a balm and warms up in your hands to turn into an oil. My skin LOVES this stuff. My dry patches went away as soon as I started using it. It’s my final layer that I let sink in before bed, or I let it sink in well before applying sunscreen and makeup in the morning. The first time I heard of this was on Rachel Zoe’s podcast where her and a friend were absolutely gushing about this product so I wanted to give it a try, especially because it’s all natural and was supposedly such a strong moisturizer. It lives up to the hype and I’ll probably repurchase.

I got the 2 oz tub since I was only testing it out, but there’s a larger 4 oz tub with even more reviews on Amazon (over 10k!) The 2 oz tub is $25.99 on Amazon. 4.4 stars with over 6k ratings.

Notable mention: Del Indio Papago Night Skin Cream with Tepezcohuite

Del Indio Papago Night Skin Cream with Tepezcohuite

Known for being Selma Hayek’s favorite face lotion, this cream has Tepezcohuite, a plant-based ingredient from Central and South America that’s good for acne, burns, healing wounds, and anti-aging. The 2 oz tub is $14.99 on Amazon. 4.1 stars with over 2k ratings.

Tinted Sunscreen

Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40, Sunrise (Champagne Glow)

Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40 Sunrise (Champagne Glow)

This goes on nice and glowy, giving sheer coverage that evens out your skin tone and doesn’t look fake. If you mix it with a bit of foundation you can get custom coverage that’s just to your liking, plus I think it makes my foundation look more natural. Supergoop! Glow Screen also claims to help filter blue light and boost hydration with hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5 and niacinamide. This 1.7 fl oz bottle is $38.00 on Amazon. 4.5 stars with over 12k ratings.

Notable mention: pūrlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream SPF 30

pūrlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream SPF 30

This SPF 30 BB cream has smooth, medium coverage and evens out your skin tone while also protecting you from the sun. A 1.4 oz tube ranges from around $32.00 to $36.00 on Amazon. 4.5 stars with over 5k ratings.

Foundation Stick

Ogee Sculpted Complexion Foundation Stick

Ogee Sculpted Complexion Foundation Stick

Have you been getting targeted ads for Ogee too? After I finally caved and bought one, I can save I love these foundation sticks. Apply with a flat kabuki brush or try mixing it with your sunscreen to sheer it out and get more natural coverage. It does smell like patchouli so it might not be for everyone, but it has ingredients like pracaxi seed oil to stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid; green coffee oil to stimulate collagen and elastin; and anti-oxidant rich elderberry extract.

A 0.34 oz stick is $52.00 on Amazon – but I’d recommend buying from the Ogee store for a better color match because the colors don’t match across stores, even if they have the same name. Anyway, on Amazon these have 4.1 stars with over 600 ratings and on the Ogee store they have 4.9 stars with over 5k ratings.

Notable mention: ILIA – Skin Rewind Complexion Stick

ILIA - Skin Rewind Complexion Stick

I gotta admit, I’ve never bought this – but I’ve seen it reviewed in countless videos when I was debating whether to buy this or the Ogee foundation stick. I ended up going with the Ogee but honestly might try this after I run out just to compare. A 0.35 oz stick is $48.00 on Amazon. 4.2 stars with over 200 ratings.

And that’s it for my 7 holy grail products for dry winter skin! Did the list deliver? Have you tried any of these items? What are your winter skincare favorites? Please share them, I’d love to know 😊
